One of the biggest questions surrounding Boeing in recent years has been the matter of when its as-yet uncertified commercial aircraft will finally be ready to enter revenue-earning passenger service. The widebody 777X has been out of luck on this front, and is now expected to enter service in 2027 as opposed to the initially planned date of 2020, and the narrowbody 737 MAX series isn’t doing much better, with two models still uncertified.
