Star Alliance carrier EVA Air has annouced its latest ultra-long-haul service that will connect Taipei to the United States capital, Washington D.C. The new city pair, which will commence on June 26, will initially operate four times a week and will increase the Taiwanese carrier’s network up to ten North American gateways. The new service is expected to be operated by the airlines Boeing 787-9.

Heading into 2026, Air India continues to operate an incredibly diverse fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft with narrowbodies and widebodies from the European planemaker, and widebodies from the American planemaker. There are 187 aircraft in the mainline fleet with another 100-plus additional jets with regional subsidiary Air India Express.
