In 2025, Volkswagen Navarra shipped over half of newly produced vehicles by rail

RCG and SŽ-Tovorni promet moved 3.1 million tonnes of raw materials from Koper to voestalpine’s Austrian plants in 2025. Infrastructure works along the route are now forcing the operators to adapt cross-border operations.

The service resumed on 9 February 2026 and is operated with one weekly round trip.

The test was carried out on one of the more demanding sections of the corridor, where the southern ramp reaches gradients of up to 23‰.
