We’ve known for months about Akasa Air’s plans to place a new aircraft order in three digits. Today, at the WINGS India 2024 event in Hyderabad, that deal was officially signed when the airline ordered 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Not only will this help consolidate Akasa’s growth over the years, but also enable Boeing to regain some of India’s narrowbody aircraft market.
