Tom Elliott has reacted to a parliamentary inquiry which recommends lowering road speeds in the CBD to increase pedestrian safety.
He says if the recommendation is implemented, getting around Melbourne will take a lot longer.
“Remember, Melbourne suburbs go on and on and on. We are the biggest urban area, I think in the world of any city,” he said.
