Veon-owned digital telco Kyivstar says it has made first investment in renewable energy by buying solar power company Sunvin 11, which owns a 12.9-MW solar plant in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine.
Ukrainian telco Kyivstar said on Wednesday that it has invested UAH1.9 billion (US$46 million) over the last two years to upgrade backup-power facilities for its network, the second phase of which is now underway.
Public research university and technical institute the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT B) has signed an agreement with telecom infrastructure firm Indus Towers for research initiatives in sustainable energy.
