CelcomDigi, Petronas collaborate on private 5G for energy sector

Nigerian regulator the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Nigerian Rural Electrification Agency (REA) have launched a joint initiative to reduce the estimated US$350 million that telecom operators in Nigeria spend annually on diesel.

Following last week’s announcement by data centre company ODATA that is expanding its wind power supply in Brazil, another story, this time from India, underlines the growing importance of offering – and being seen to offer – clean energy.

The latest example of the growing trend for bring renewable energy to data centres comes from B.Grimm Power (BGRIM), the power business arm of B.Grimm Group, Thailand’s oldest multinational conglomerate.
