Houston Intercontinental Airport Hopes Other Carriers Will Expand Service To Fill Southwest Airlines Vacancy

Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is optimistic that other airlines will step in to fill the void left by Southwest Airlines’ departure. Southwest’s decision to withdraw from IAH, along with three other airports, is part of its strategy to optimize its network and discontinue services from certain airports following a weak first quarter.
