On April 30th, 2024, the Hawaii Department of Transportation announced that Runway 4R/22L at Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) would temporarily close for 37 days, between roughly 4 PM on May 1st and continuing through June 7th. The 9,000-foot asphalt runway is one of six in operation at the facility, which also includes two water runways.
