Fleet History: When Northwest Airlines Used To Operate The Curtiss C-46

The Curtiss C-46 Commando was one of the most popular air freighters used by the United States Army Air Forces (as the Air Force was known at the time) during the Second World War. As a result, the aircraft was flown by Allied militaries throughout the conflict but would later transition to serving primarily as a civilian freighter following the war's end.
