Vietnamese telco Viettel said on Tuesday it has officially surpassed its commitment to the government to deploy 20,000 new 5G sites in Vietnam before the end of this year.
Vietnam’s three major mobile operators have collectively rolled out 11,000 5G base stations, and the government expects that figure to nearly double by the end of 2025.
Malaysian telco YTL Communications launched 5G Advanced services on Thursday, starting in the Klang Valley, making it the first commercial operator in the country to offer live 5G-A.
