Ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) Spirit Airlines operates an extensive network throughout North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean. While the airline has some transcontinental routes with its all-Airbus fleet, many of its flights are shorter distances. Still, Spirit is able to have a formidable presence on both coasts and has grown dramatically within the past decade. Despite recent headwinds, the airline continues evolving its route network to best serve its passengers and remain appropriate to its business model.
