Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) was named the number one most connected airport in the United States and seventh worldwide, according to data from the Official Aviation Guide (OAG) 2025 Megahubs Index. On the airport’s busiest day of the year, Chicago O’Hare offers connections to 214 domestic destinations, more than any other airport in the US. The airport receives more than 100 million passengers per year. Let’s find out why this is the case.

Etihad Airways added eight destinations to its route network in June, delivering on its promise to increase connectivity. As one of three major airlines in the Middle East, competing with Qatar Airways and Emirates, the carrier is finding ways to remain competitive against its rivals. The carrier has over 90 aircraft in its fleet and serves more than 70 destinations. Additionally, By decade’s end, Etihad hopes to add 40 destinations and reach a fleet of over 150 planes.
