The Dassault Mercure is a jet-powered single-aisle aircraft designed and developed by French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation. The Mercure was the first large-scale program in Europe and Dassault’s first venture into the commercial airliner market. Designed to compete with Boeing’s 737 narrowbody aircraft, the Mercure entered commercial service with Air Inter in June 1974.
