Carpatica Feroviar begins large recruitment drive

Carpatica Feroviar, the successor to the bankrupt Romanian rail freight operator CFR Marfă, is starting a large recruitment campaign to begin operations.
The operator is looking for over 2000 new employees in a wide range of professions: locomotive engineers, train conductors, shunters and technical inspectors, instructors and customs declarants, engineers, IT specialists, economists, marketing professionals, and more.

With the recruitment campaign, the company hopes to form “a solid, dedicated and performance-oriented team” and build its activity on three pillars, among which are operational performance, sustainability and customer orientation, it says.

Ambitions for the future

“We invest in deep knowledge of customer needs and offer personalised, competitive and sustainable logistics services. Our goal is that, in the future, Carpatica Feroviar Romania will be recognized as a leader in the field, appreciated for its operational excellence and positive impact on the environment and society”, commented Daniel Apostolache, the General Manager of Carpatica Feroviar Romania. Apostolache earlier worked as General Manager at CFR Marfă.

“We believe in the potential of this sector and its strategic importance for the economy and we want to build a solid team, with experience and new energy to support this vision”, Apostolache added. Carpatica Feroviar operates a fleet of 6,450 freight wagons and 200 locomotives for both domestic and international transport. It will serve the agriculture, defense, mining and the oil industry.
