Philippine broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions announced on Wednesday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with US-based IT solutions provider Supermicro to help it build three ‘green’ AI data centres in the Philippines.

Reliance Jio’s parent company, Reliance Industries Limited, is reportedly planning to build AI-ready data centres in Jamnagar as part of the company’s overall strategy of “democratising” access to AI infrastructure.

Omantel announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to address data residency and security requirements, especially for government entities and regulated industries in Oman.
