Data centre activity continues to ramp up in Saudi Arabia

Ooredoo Group announced on Tuesday that its digital infrastructure unit Syntys has acquired Qatar-based hyperscale data centre operator Q Data QFZ, which will add another 12.5MW of IT load capacity to Syntys’ data centre offerings in Qatar.

At Huawei Connect 2025 in Shanghai, China, Eric Xu, Huawei’s Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman, gave a keynote speech entitled “Groundbreaking SuperPoD Interconnect: Leading a New Paradigm for AI Infrastructure.”
