Over 500,000 March in London for Palestinian Rights Despite Gaza Ceasefire

On October 11, 2025, over 500,000 protesters gathered in central London, organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, to mark the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks and to demand an end to Israel’s occupation and UK arms sales to Israel, just one day after the Israel-Hamas ceasefire took effect.

Speakers including Jeremy Corbyn and Palestinian Ambassador Husam Zomlot argued the truce provides only temporary relief without addressing root issues like the 57-year occupation.

The event resulted in over 100 arrests for public order offenses and vandalism, such as graffiti on the RAF memorial, amid criticisms from pro-Israel figures accusing the march of promoting antisemitism and extremism.
