Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley declassified an FBI document revealing that the bureau obtained phone records and location data from eight Republican senators, including Josh Hawley and Lindsey Graham, during the Arctic Frost investigation into 2020 election challenges from January 4 to 7, 2021.
The probe later connected to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case against former President Donald Trump.
In response, FBI Director Kash Patel fired involved agents, dismantled a related squad, and initiated an internal investigation into the surveillance.
