Carlton Acquires Fremantle’s Liam Reidy in First 2025 AFL Trade

Carlton has traded for 24-year-old ruckman Liam Reidy from Fremantle, receiving him along with the Dockers’ third-round pick No. 53 and fourth-round pick No. 71 in exchange for picks No. 50 and No. 68.

The deal, approved early in the 2025 AFL Trade Period, addresses Carlton’s ruck shortage following Tom De Koning’s move to St Kilda.

Reidy, who played three AFL games for Fremantle after being drafted in 2022, showed strong form in the WAFL, including a premiership with Peel Thunder.
