Letter to the Editor from Glenn Milne, Red Cliffs ‘Train plan cause for pain’.
FYI .. for those who do not know Glenn Milne is a long term councillor for Mildura Rural City Council. He has also had 7 terms as Mayor. Mr. Milne is a member of the National Party. The Nats well known position is ‘Freight NOT Passenger rail’!!
Mr. Milne and his Nats cohorts have done all they possibly can to make sure we do NOT have our train returned.
As a former Mayor he was in the position to do just that. Mr. Milne jumped in as an Independent candidate for the final two weeks of the last State election so that he could preference Jade Benham Nats State MP for Mildura.
It was the preferences that won that election for them.
Ali Cupper – Independent Mallee Girl had by far the most votes and was a wonderful, high achieving State MP for our electorate. T
o date Ms. Benham .. 3 years ZERO $$s. Quoting Mr. Milne from this letter “if it is removed we will never get it back ….” Oh excuse us but DIDDUMS!!
He closes with the sentence “We are actually part of Victoria too”. A term Ali Cupper Independent and us use on a regular basis (he has zero originality).
Yes WE are! Whether farmers or not. Each needs the other.
Of course he hasn’t missed a moment to typically slam the current Govt. A LNP tactic.
They have no policies. Read it please ….. it’s ALL about freight. Stuff the rest of us!!
