On October 1, Gulf Air returned to New York JFK,which is not among the world’s ten busiest airports. It uses JFK’s Terminal 1. It only announced the route from Bahrain in mid-July. It had just two-and-a-half months to grow awareness and sales, although its long-term codeshare agreement with American Airlines via London Heathrow will have given it better visibility in the market.
