The University of Technology Sydney says it needs to cut 400 jobs

UTS spent hundreds of millions on buildings, only to go broke funding the staff in such buildings.

Universities in Australia are underfunded but is this because they are not offering the courses people wish to undertake in 2025?

They don’t even have the money to build a wall straight. (that said this criticism looks weak, even without an opinion on the issue. Are they supposed to be in mud huts? It’s good to have beautiful buildings).

The University of Technology Sydney says it needs to cut 400 jobs, roughly 10 per cent of the workforce, as part of a cost-cutting initiative to save $100 million.

After ABC News revealed high levels of psychological distress among staff facing the axe, UTS rolled out advice to support their wellbeing.

Staff say the health advice, which includes making time to wash delicates and brush their teeth, “de-legitimised” their concerns.

If you’re a money wasting machine, you’re always underfunded. How come they have historical high revenues but historical low outcomes at the same time!
