Changes to train services as major upgrades continue on Midland Main Line

Network Rail, East Midlands Railway (EMR), and Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) are encouraging passengers to check their journey before travelling as major engineering work to upgrade the Midland Main Line continues throughout April and May.
Network Rail engineers will be carrying out essential maintenance and upgrade work on the West Coast Mainline this weekend to improve journeys for passengers.
Network Rail is reminding passengers that their journey may be disrupted this Sunday (12 January) due to engineering work between Gatwick Airport and East Croydon, one of the busiest stretches of line in the country.
As part of Birmingham Heritage Week ballot, several people on tickets to be able to walk the 400 metre long tunnel which connects the Mailbox to Birmingham New Street.
