A British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner was forced to return to Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD), Australia, on September 8, 2025. According to a report by the Aviation Herald, the flight crew declared a mayday after detecting a fuel smell in the cockpit.
