Why Does Delta Air Lines Have To Pay $79 Million For A Boeing 777 Flight Incident 5 Years Ago?

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines will pay close to $79 million, in a bid to settle a class action lawsuit, following a 2020 fuel dump that rained down on businesses and residential areas in Los Angeles, following a flight losing engine thrust shortly after take-off from Los Angeles International Airport. Due to the dump, Los Angeles County firefighters were called to Cudahy, describing the feeling of jet fuel on their clothes, skin, and eyes.
