You may know by now that Qantas has grown its order book of Airbus A321XLRs to 48. Some 16 of these will also add lie-flat business seats and seatback entertainment, with the first frame in this configuration due to be delivered in 2028. It comes a month after Etihad Airways’ first A321LR (it does not have the XLR) entered commercial service, with its seats including two first-class suites and 14 fully flat business beds.

Following EASA certification, the long-awaited first passenger flight on the Airbus A321XLR is fast approaching.
