Brisbane-based Virgin Australia has noted that the airline’s maintenance costs remain high, as the delays of major aircraft orders expected from American plane maker Boeing. This has seen the Australian airline extend leases and maintain older aircraft operating in the airline’s fleet, as delays continue to hamper the airline’s bottom line.
