The End Of The Superjumbo: Did A Design Flaw Kill The Airbus A380?

In 2000, Airbus came to the conclusion that there would be a market for over 1,200 extra-large aircraft over the following two decades. But by 2020, both Airbus and Boeing had announced the end of the world’s only two extra-large aircraft, the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 747-8. Airbus only delivered 251 Superjumbos, while Boeing only delivered 155 of its final 747-8 variant Jumbos, of which just 29 were commercial passenger aircraft for only three airlines.
