Air Canada is the flag carrier of Canada, and is also the country’s largest airline, with a fleet of more than 200 aircraft. WestJet is Canada’s second-largest airline, operating a total of 143 aircraft, while Porter Airlines comes in third place with 76 aircraft in its fleet. Each of these three carriers offers a different onboard experience in terms of legroom, also depending on the aircraft type that is operating the flight.

Negotiations often take unexpected twists and turns, but it seems Air Canada is writing its own playbook for bargaining with pilots. The airline announced today that it is finalizing contingency plans to suspend most of its operations.
