Australia’s biggest copper mine shuts down

The winding down of Mount Isa’s copper mine has ignited a major concern for Australia’s entire copper processing industry.

The mine has been in service for 60 years with its closure expected to have a devastating impact on the Queensland Town of Mount Isa.

There will be human impacts not only in Mount Isa, but rail networks, ports, schools, teachers etc service industries.
