The Airbus A321XLR (Extra Long Range) entered service in late 2024 and is now the longest-range narrowbody aircraft on the market. The XLR is being ordered by airlines around the world to replace the Boeing 757, Boeing 737-800, and other aircraft. The A321XLR is soon to replace Icelandair’s Boeing 757. In Australia, Qantas, which was previously loyal to Boeing, is purchasing 28 A321XLRs as a partial Boeing 737-800 replacement.
