This European Airport Is Now Busier Than London Heathrow

Istanbul Airport (IST) has set a new European record for daily passenger traffic, overtaking the previous record set by London Heathrow Airport (LHR). On July 25, 2025, the Turkish airport handled 271,836 passengers, surpassing Heathrow’s record of 268,000 travelers set on June 30, 2024.
