The Boeing 777X is set to be the latest widebody commercial aircraft in production and the largest twin-engine aircraft to have flown. The aircraft is an update on the previous generation 777-300ER, introducing new engines, larger windows, extensive use of lightweight composite materials, and other innovations. It is integrating many of the technologies developed for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which first entered service in 2011.
