Ericsson has signed a three-year deal with e& UAE to upgrade the operator’s 5G network, marking the first commercial deployment of the vendor’s RedCap solution in the Middle East and Africa.
Nokia’s Senior Vice President for the Middle East and Africa, Mikko Lavanti, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the region, stating that it remains a key area for growth.
Ericsson revealed it will upgrade Malaysia’s 5G network to 5G Advanced, a move the vendor claimed will open new features and capabilities to attract adoption from enterprises.
Ericsson announced on Monday it has inaugurated its new office in Lusaka, Zambia, which it said marks a significant step towards not only enhancing its local and regional presence, but also supporting Zambia’s digital transformation ambitions.
