Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and American Airlines are the three largest legacy airlines in the United States. All three are full-service carriers operating a mixture of narrowbody and widebody aircraft as well as regional aircraft through their contracts with airlines like SkyWest. According to a study by Upgraded Points, the US-based airlines offering the most legroom on average are JetBlue, at 32.2 inches, and Southwest Airlines, at 32 inches. Meanwhile, low-cost or ultra-low-cost carriers like Frontier and Spirit Airlines provide their guests with just 28 inches of seat pitch.
