Becoming a pilot is no easy feat. In the United States, becoming a commercial pilot typically requires many years of training on top of a college degree. However, once one has completed all the appropriate training and attained all the necessary certifications, pilots are not able to decide which of aviation’s many different career paths they would like to pursue. Amid a rapidly growing global pilot shortage, there are many different opportunities across the industry for ambitious young first officers.
