When it comes to short flights, you could be forgiven for thinking an hour or so is acceptable, but in Scotland, these flights are so short you wouldn't even have time to be served, let alone finish your cup of tea (which I may note, is not offered onboard). The iconic flight between Westray and Papa Westray, in the Orkney Islands, is the shortest recognized by the Guinness World Records and covers a mere 1.7 miles.
