Having lived on the Channel Island of Guernsey, I can personally attest to the importance of the air services that connect the islanders and keep vital tourism, health, business and trade links open. Flying in and out of the Channel Islands is not always straightforward, with variable weather conditions and low visibility adding more challenges to airlines and pilots than at other airports.
