In an interview with Simple Flying’s Dillon Shah, EGYPTAIR’s CEO, Captain Ahmed Adel, confirmed that the company was in “advanced discussions” with Airbus to exercise existing options for six A350s. The Chief Executive noted that the aircraft would allow the carrier to grow its network, including route frequencies, while also replacing its Boeing 777s.
