Boeing has withdrawn an exemption request for the 737 MAX 7, with the plane maker having asked the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to exempt the aircraft’s Stall Management Yaw Damper (SMYD) system from regulations related to aircraft electrical systems’ resilience to lightning exposure.
