Europe Is Making It Harder To Get Compensation For Delayed Flights

EU transport ministers have reached a political agreement “on the revision of air passenger rights and on airline liability.” As part of the agreement reached after 12 years of negotiations, EU countries have agreed to extend the waiting period before passengers can claim compensation for delayed flights. The EU Council’s position will now move to the European Parliament for a second reading. The Parliament will then have the opportunity to approve, amend, or reject the proposal.
