Curaçao’s Aquatel joins CELIA subsea cable project

Telecoms newcomer Aquatel has signed an agreement with Aruba telco Setar and the Curaçao government to connect Curaçao to the planned CELIA subsea cable that will connect various Caribbean islands to the US.

Liberia is the latest African country to be hit with internet service disruptions, which the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) has attributed to a cut in the ACE (Africa Coast to Europe) subsea cable.
