Incumbent Maldives telco Dhiraagu said it has inaugurated the official landing of the SEA-ME-WE 6 subsea cable in the Maldives, although the cable is still at almost two years away from activation.
Telkom Indonesia’s international arm Telin announced on Friday it has signed a MoU with Singtel to develop a new subsea cable system connecting Singapore and Indonesia to support the booming data centre market in both countries.
Indonesian operator Super Sistem, which is developing the Indonesian Barat Timur Indonesia (BTI) submarine cable system, has engaged consulting firm APTelecom to engage prospective customers on its behalf to undertake presales for the system.
