European plane makerAirbusdeveloped the Airbus A340 alongside the Airbus A330, in direct competition with the Boeing 777, primarily utilized for long-haul travel. While the A340 is no longer in production today, many have labeled the aircraft unlucky, due to its ‘small’ engine size, relative to the size of the overall aircraft.
