New Poti port terminal now operational

Sixteen months of construction work have led up to this moment. The Poti Transterminal has cleared the final hurdle and is now officially operational. It adds significant logistics capacity at a key location in Georgia, along the Middle Corridor.
The opening ceremony is set to take place on 9 June. The general director of the terminal, Olzhas Arykbayev, is enthusiastic: “We have not just built a terminal, we will create a new level of logistics services in the region, relying on technologies, international partnerships and a strategic view of the development of the Middle Corridor” he said.

The project cost 31,5 million US dollars, which came from Kazakh, Azerbaijani and Georgian investors. As for its capacities, the terminal can service 120 wagons simultaneously and process 50 containers per hour.
