Despite serving the state’s most populous city, Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is only the seventh-busiest airport in Florida, but it is on a promising growth trajectory having broken its passenger record for two years running. The airport handled over 7.6 million passengers last year—an improvement on the 7.3 million recorded in 2023—and is served by almost a dozen carriers connecting the city of Jacksonville to approximately 50 destinations both domestic and overseas.
