Network Rail has announced that work for the next stage of its £140m East Kilbride enhancement project will be carried out during the last weekend of September.
Network Rail has announced that an electric train has run on the East Kilbride line for the first time ever, having completed a successful test journey from Glasgow.
After a 16-week £140 million project to electrify the line between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride, normal train services will resume on 18th May.
