Gulfstream Aerospace, owned by its parent company, General Dynamics, has grown to become one of the most prestigious private jet manufacturers in the world. The company first began as a subsidiary of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation in the 1950s before it was eventually separated into a civil aircraft production business segment. Over the 60 years it has existed, the company has gone through several owners.
