Southwest Airlines To Debut 1st Retrofitted Boeing 737 This Week

Since coming under the public pressure of activist investment management firm Elliott Management, Southwest Airlines has decided to make a few major changes. For starters, the airline has decided to eliminate its “Bags Fly Free” policy, which previously allowed all customers to bring two different checked bags on any Southwest Airlines flight. This key benefit was once a hallmark of the Southwest Airlines experience and something major that set the carrier apart from its competitors.
